Thiruvananthapuram: The Examination Reform Commission, one of the three commissions set up to submit proposals for comprehensive reforms in the higher education sector, has submitted its final report. After receiving the report, the Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice, Dr. A.S. R Bindu said.

The Chairman of the Commission, Prof. A.S. CT Aravindakumar (Pro Vice Chancellor, MG University) informed the Minister. Dr. K. Anilkumar (Registrar, University of Kerala); A Praveen (Registrar, KTU), Dr. CL Joshi (former Registrar, University of Calicut) submitted the report to the Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice. Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Higher Education V. Venu was present.

The reports of the Higher Education Reforms Commission and the University Law Reform Commission are in the final stages and will be available soon, he said. R Bindu said.

Special Action Plan for Empowerment of Higher Education Sector: Minister Dr. R. Point

The Minister of Higher Education said that a special action plan will be implemented to modernize and strengthen the higher education sector in the state over time. R. Point. The Minister said that all higher education institutions in the state should become centers of excellence. Universities should be the flag bearers of this. It is imperative that the education sector in the state changes along with this. As part of this, the Empowerment Plan for Higher Education is announced. Part of this will be bridging the gap between employment and education, improving the quality of research and accelerating the process of transforming the state into a knowledge society.

The Minister pointed out that the NAAC Plus Plus recognition received by the University of Kerala would further strengthen empowerment in the field of higher education. An Interdisciplinary Center will be set up at the University of Kerala in the name of Thanu Padmanabhan. The recognition received by the University of Kerala is an inspiration to other universities in the state. The Minister commended the teachers, students and the University Syndicate for their efforts for recognition.
