LIBREVILLE, October 21, 2024 (AGP) – The Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions (CTRI) warns political parties and associations against the malicious use of the image of the President of the Transition and their activism, calling for vote “YES” in the referendum on November 16, according to press release no. 67 made public this Monday, October 21, 2024, by its Spokesperson, Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi.

“The CTRI protests against the malicious use of the image of the President of the Transition by certain political parties and fellow citizens” and “the activism of certain political parties and associations of all kinds (…) calling for a YES vote, even though the referendum campaign is not open,” we can note.

The CTRI Spokesperson, Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi, has once again warned all stakeholders about the activism and manipulation orchestrated by them, for purely political purposes. Not without recalling press release n°50 of March 15, 2024, which already warned the perpetrators of these actions.

“Political parties and other movements are firmly invited to let the people express themselves and not to involve the CTRI and the head of state in their activism. Gabon does not belong to any political party, to any movement, it belongs to all Gabonese people,” insisted Colonel Ulrich Manfoumbi Manfoumbi.

This warning comes a few weeks before the referendum vote, scheduled for November 16.
