Mumbai: Maharashtra Minority Affairs Minister and senior NCP leader Nawab Malik has been arrested. Dawood Ibrahim has been arrested in connection with a financial fraud case. Nawab Malik was summoned by the ED to appear for questioning.
Nawab Malik was present at the ED office at 7.45 am for questioning. The arrest was recorded after hours of questioning. Days ago, the ED had taken over the probe into the formation of a special unit by Dawood Ibrahim for anti-India activities.
The ED is monitoring some businessmen and political leaders in Maharashtra and Delhi who are financing underworld groups.
