Reliance Jio raises tariffs on unlimited plans

Geo raises tariffs on prepaid users On Sunday, Reliance announced that it was raising rates on all new unlimited plans. Earlier, Reliance Jio had teamed up with Airtel and Vodafone Idea after two telecom operators raised tariffs by up to 25 per cent. Reliance says new tariffs for unlimited plans will come into effect from December 1.

Reliance has also increased the price of its unlimited plan for Geophone users. Instead of 75 rupees, you will have to spend 91 rupees. Similarly, the lowest prepaid unlimited plan for users now starts at Rs 155 instead of Rs 129. The Rs 155 plan offers 2GB data, unlimited calls and 300 SMS for 28 days.

For Rs 149 and Rs 199 plans, Geo prepaid users will now be charged Rs 179 and Rs 239 respectively. The Rs 179 plan offers 1GB per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. The Rs 239 plan, which is equivalent to Rs 199, offers 1.5 GB of data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day.

Customers now have to pay Rs 299 for the popular Rs 249 prepaid plan. Additionally, it offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. Another popular unlimited plan at Rs 329 will now cost Rs 395, while the benefits will remain the same. The new Rs 395 prepaid users will get 6GB of data, unlimited calls and 1000 SMS for 84 days.
