Role Responsibilities: Building the Future of Healthcare

  • Designing, developing, and implementing high-quality software solutions for data-centric healthcare applications.
  • Working with a diverse technology stack, including housing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
  • Participating in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and integration frameworks.

Qualifications and Ideal Candidate Profile

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with an additional two years of relevant experience. A minimum of one year of software engineering experience, including internships, or two years of coding experience in a high-level language (C, C++, Golang, Java, C#) is required. Demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills, along with a strong technical aptitude for software design and implementation, are essential.

Experience with modern application development frameworks and professional software engineering practices – including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations – is also necessary. Deep hands-on technical expertise and strong dialog skills are highly valued.

Preferred qualifications include experience with open-source technologies, Google and Azure cloud environments, databases, analytics, big data systems, and building high-performance, scalable distributed systems. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including scripting, IntegrationHub, and API-based integrations. A strong understanding of data models, data integrity principles, and ETL/ELT patterns is crucial, as is experience with integration technologies like REST, SOAP, message queues, and Kafka.Familiarity with Google BigQuery or other cloud data platforms, and documentation tools like Confluence, are also desirable.

Critically important Considerations

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. The role is 100% remote within the United States, with potential for occasional onsite visits (approximately once per month). Occasional weekend and evening coverage may be required.

Compensation and Schedule

The compensation range for this full-time position is $100,339 – $140,462 per year, with comprehensive benefits eligibility. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
