25 years have passed since Renault Kangoo was in charge of launching the recreational MPV segment, with a unique design and first-class practicality. Kangoo has always kept up to date and has been a pioneer in a multitude of functionalities, such as the use of the first sliding side door.

It is also a unique success story: Renault has sold more than 4.4 million Kangoos in 50 countries around the world and the electric version has been the best-selling in its segment since 2011. It is the best of both worlds: one car for families, due to its elegant design and spaciousness, and a vehicle for professionals.

Following this constant evolution, the third generation of Kangoo, launched in 2021, now includes a 7-seater version, with independent and modular seats. This new model has the largest cabin and cargo space in Kangoo’s history, adapting to both professional and private customers.

Access to the third row is very comfortable thanks to the 2 wide sliding doors with a travel of 83 cm (+18 cm compared to Kangoo), a low threshold and the folding seats of the second row. Ideal for facilitating entry and exit of the vehicle for all passengers and for easily installing a child seat in one of its 5 isofix seats.

Available as standard with a glass tailgate, it is also possible to have 2/3-1/3 rear doors to facilitate access to the trunk, especially when ceiling height is a limitation. Thanks to this, New Grand Kangoo is compatible with all types of uses.

The large interior space is perfect for families looking for 7 real seats for regular use and can accommodate passengers of all sizes with great comfort. Like Kangoo, the interior design features a dashboard finished in brushed dark wood, a comfortable cabin and improved ergonomics.

The new Grand Kangoo will be available with two engines that meet the latest emissions regulations (Euro 6E): a versatile, dynamic and low-consumption 1.3 TCe gasoline 130 HP, even with 7 people on board. Available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed automatic transmission. In diesel it is offered with the 1.5 Blue dCi 95 HP engine, efficient and economical. Available with 6-speed manual transmission.

It will also be available with the 100% electric E-Tech engine, with a range of up to 265 km WLTP. Kangoo E-Tech Electric is powered by a 90 kW motor with 245 Nm of torque always available, so it drives smoothly in all situations. It is possible to change the driving mode to Eco, which limits power to 56 kW and vehicle speed to 110 km/h to optimize range. It also has three regenerative braking modes.

It can charge up to 22 kW in alternating current (from 15 to 80% in 2 hours and 40 minutes) and up to 80 kW in direct current (170 km of autonomy in 27 minutes). With just 10 minutes at a charging point of 80 kW (direct current) it is possible to recover 80 km of autonomy. This range of chargers covers all the driving needs of users.

The batteries have a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km and, during this period, they are replaced free of charge if their capacity degrades to a level below 70% of their state of health (SoH).

The opening of orders for the new Renault Grand Kangoo It will be carried out at the end of this year and deliveries will begin during the first half of 2024.
