The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene on westbound I-80 near Pyramid Highway. Initial reports indicate a Toyota RAV4 was traveling eastbound in the far left lane, directly opposing oncoming traffic. Simultaneously, a semi tractor-trailer was proceeding westbound in the same left lane. The two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in immediate and fatal consequences for the driver of the RAV4.
Christian Lebow, 27, of Reno, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi sustained what were described as minor injuries.
