Eurythmics are expected to reunite for a big world tour next year, the “Mail Online” website reported this evening (Sunday). The British duo consisting of 67-year-old Annie Lennox and 70-year-old Dave Stewart – recently appeared in a rare performance while being inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”, and according to a source close to the two, a new album may also be on the cards. If the tour goes ahead, it will be their first in 20 years.

Eurythmics, founded in 1980 by Lennox and Stewart, had great worldwide success in the 1980s, both commercially and among music critics. He has sold around 75 million albums worldwide, won many awards and held several successful world tours. The duo was active in the years 1980-1990, and then reunited and returned to work in the years 1999-2005.

An insider to the duo estimates that a world tour that will include 40 shows could bring in 100 million pounds. “Seeing them appear together again in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has really piqued the interests of the promoters who are ‘throwing money’ to get going again. It’s too early to announce but everyone is excited to revive the project,” he said.
