by time news

An unmanned aircraft attacked a research center at the Perchin military site in Iran this week, the New York Times reported tonight (Friday). This, after Iran claimed that it was a “work accident”.

According to the report, the UAV was apparently aimed at the military facility, a young engineer who worked at the site exploded and killed another person. In addition, another person was injured in the incident. It was also reported that missiles, nuclear technologies and UAVs were developed at the facility.

At present, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but according to the American network, it “fits the pattern of past Israeli attacks on Iran and Lebanon.” Iran’s Defense Ministry said it considered the incident an assault and not a work accident. Israel did not respond to a report.

Last night, the Iranian news agency Fares confirmed that an engineer died, and another worker was injured, in an accident that occurred at a research center at the Perchin military site. This is a place affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Defense. Perchin Province is home to several factories and sites for military experiments, some of which are linked to the Iranian nuclear program.

Meanwhile, last Wednesday the New York Times reported that Israel had confirmed to the United States that it was the one behind the assassination of senior Revolutionary Guards official Hassan Siad Khoudayari earlier this week. According to the Times, although Israel did not take responsibility publicly, an intelligence source revealed to the newspaper that the issue had indeed been approved by Israel.

According to the source, Khoudayari’s assassination was intended to send a message to Iran that it must stop the operations of Quds Force 840, which has the responsibility to kidnap and assassinate Iran’s enemies around the world, including civilians and officials in Israel. For sending the message, the senior who was marked and eventually eliminated was the deputy commander of the unit, who according to Israel, according to the Times, has been responsible for actions and attempts to harm Israelis in the past two years. It should be noted that Iran has never officially revealed that there is a unit called “Quds Force 840”.
