Asked about a possible union of the rights, the deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes recalled that “ [s] he line is independence, vis-à-vis power” but also “vis-à-vis groups” such as the National Rally or Reconquest. “We will not be the auxiliaries of one or the other”, he hammered.

The righting of LR, a “strategic error” according to Villepin
