Thiruvannamalai – In a recent press release, Governor RN Ravi emphasized the importance of respecting the sentiments of the crores of devotees of Tiruvannamalai Arunasaleshwar. During his two-day trip to remote areas of Javvadu Hills in Tiruvannamalai district, Governor Ravi interacted with students, organic farmers, social and environmental entrepreneurs, tribal leaders, cultural and religious leaders, and representatives from various walks of life.

Governor Ravi expressed his appreciation for the efforts of organic farmers in promoting sustainable agriculture. He also praised social and environmental entrepreneurs for their voluntary work in restoring numerous water bodies in the area. “Community joining together for a good cause is powerful,” he stated.

However, Governor Ravi expressed his disappointment upon learning that there was a lack of toilets near the Arunachaleswarar Temple and in the Kriwala area, as well as the presence of restaurants selling non-vegetarian food. Devotees shared their concerns and anguish in this regard. Governor Ravi acknowledged that food choices are personal preferences but stressed the importance of respecting the sentiments of the devotees.

“As we prioritize personal food preferences, we must also consider the sentiments of crores of devotees of Arunachaleshwar,” Governor Ravi emphasized.
