Minister of Education Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri confirmed today, Monday, that attracting dropouts and returning them to school is one of the most important steps towards sustainable human development.

Al-Jubouri said in a statement by the Ministry of Education – received by the (INA): “The importance of the Return to Education project under the auspices of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and cooperation with UNICEF at the level of the long-term national strategy for education is one of the most important steps to achieve sustainable human development aimed at raising awareness and educating dropouts and attracting them to school after life circumstances have prevented them from continuing.”
Al-Jubouri added, “The project has proven successful in returning thousands of school dropouts to school in a number of governorates, targeting districts, sub-districts, villages, and rural areas, in addition to city centers, after the Ministry of Education prepared comprehensive plans to train mobile teams (leaders and members) over a period of months from now, so that they can urge parents to motivate their children to study and record accurate information and data, to count the dropouts who will return to school again, with joint governmental and ministerial efforts.”
