Through social networks, Cubans have denounced the lunch that patients receive in the municipality of Pilón, in Granma.

The Cubans who were undergoing hemodialysis treatment were treated as if they were animals, because the lunch they were offered was rice with mango.

“I am completely very sad because I have come with my aunt to undergo her hemodialysis treatment and when you see at lunchtime what has been given to the patients, look for yourself, this is sad and painful,” says the published message. by a person from Granma.

This absurd and despicable dish, more typical of a bad joke than an appropriate diet for patients, reflects the indifference of the dictatorship towards the well-being of its own people.

While the regime boasts of its supposed free and quality health system, the reality is that patients are forced to endure deplorable conditions and totally inadequate nutrition.

This situation occurs in all the hospitals on the island, where Antilleans frequently complain about the food they receive, which, apart from the fact that it is not nutritious or balanced, is prepared with a disgusting and bad appearance.

How is it possible that in the 21st century, in a country that boasts of its supposed equality and social justice, sick people are allowed to be treated in this way? “Mango rice” is not only an affront to the physical health of patients, but also an insult to their dignity as human beings.

This shameful episode highlights the incompetence and contempt of the Cuban regime towards the most basic needs of its population.

While leaders enjoy luxuries and privileges, ordinary citizens are relegated to a life of scarcity and suffering.

The sick Cubans do not eat well, but the island’s hit-and-run Miguel Díaz-Canel and his wife go from trip to trip wasting and misspending the money that should be invested to offer quality of life to the people.
