Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney have teamed up for a new song. He can be heard on Starr’s EP “Rewind Forward”.

Ringo Starr (83) and Paul McCartney (81) will be heard together on the new record of the former Beatles drummer.

The EP “Rewind Forward” will be released on October 13th and contains four new songs. Including the single “Feeling the Sunlight”, which was created in cooperation with Starr’s former band buddies.

The meaning behind “Rewind Forward”

The title of the EP and the name of the first single, ‘Rewind Forward’, which will be released this Friday, have a special meaning for Starr: “‘Rewind Forward’ came to me out of the blue – it’s just one of those lines like ‘Hard Day’s Night’.” For him it means that sometimes you have to go back if you want to move forward, he said in a statement. The other two titles of the four-song EP are “Shadows on the Wall” and “Miss Jean”.

Other musicians and old friends who can be heard on the EP alongside McCartney include Steve Lukather (65), Benmont Tench (69), Mike Campbell (73), Ian Hunter (84), Joe Walsh (75) and Kipp Lennon (63).
