Rise of colors in educational establishments: The President of the transition makes a field visit to Nelson Mandela College

Libreville, October 23, 2023 – The President of the Transition, President of the Republic, Head of State, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema took part today in the raising of colors ceremony at Nelson Mandela College in the presence of the Minister of National Education and the Minister Delegate for the Interior, following press release No. 019 of the Committee for the Transition and Restoration of Institutions.
It is with pride that the Head of State, who values respect for patriotic values, attended alongside the delegation which accompanied him, the teaching staff and the students at the raising of the colors in the said establishment. A civic act which reflects the desire of the highest authorities of the State to bring Gabonese citizens and especially young learners to respect and appropriate the symbols of the Republic.
At the end of this ceremony, the President of the Transition made a brief visit to the Establishment which took him to interact with the learners and the teaching staff and to immerse himself in the activities relating to the Support Project to the education sector investment program (PISE).
Honored to have communicated with the Head of State, the students of Nelson Mandela College did not fail to express their emotions and their thanks to the President of the Republic for his involvement in improving learning conditions in the Education sector, including free re-registration fees in public schools, the restoration of school scholarships, the harmonization of school uniform prices and the granting of 1,000 budget positions for teachers among other actions in order to guarantee Gabonese youth a healthy, inclusive and quality education.
