Consumers have reported that the price of local eggs in the market has increased again.

Consumers have complained that an egg is being sold at a price of more than 60 rupees in some market stalls.

Eggs, which were sold between Rs 50 and Rs 55 in the market before last week, are now being sold at more than Rs 60.

Meanwhile, the All Sri Lankan Egg Trade Association had decided to increase the price of an egg from the 12th.
