Kyle Rittenhouse Returns to Social Media with Wedding Photo,Wife Brandishing Rifle
Following his acquittal in a highly-publicized trial,Kyle Rittenhouse has re-emerged on social media, sharing a wedding photo featuring his new wife,Bella, who is pictured holding a rifle. Rittenhouse, now 22, announced his return on Wednesday, stating he is “back in the fight and hear to stay” after deleting his accounts on X and Facebook.
The controversial figure, who gained national attention during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests, posted photos from his wedding alongside the declaration. He revealed that he and Bella were married six months ago, calling it “the best decision of my life.” He also hinted at “more big announcements” to come. The images show Rittenhouse in a blue suit alongside his tattooed bride.
Rittenhouse became a lightning rod for political debate after fatally shooting two men and injuring a third during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in August 2020. He was carrying an AR-15-style rifle at the time, and his actions sparked intense scrutiny and debate over self-defense, gun rights, and the role of vigilantism.
He was ultimately acquitted of all charges – including homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment – in November 2021, a verdict that resonated deeply with Second Amendment rights advocates and right-wing commentators. Since the trial, Rittenhouse has become a symbol for these groups, regularly appearing on platforms like The Charlie Kirk Show.
Rittenhouse recently shared that he took time off work to grieve the death of conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk, whom he described as a close friend. “When Charlie was assassinated, I was on my lunch break at work,” he told Fox News. “I just got home to let my dog out. Court testimony revealed that Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, aggressively pursued Rittenhouse before being fatally shot. Witnesses stated Rosenbaum threw items at Rittenhouse and attempted to reach for his gun. Anthony Huber, also fatally shot, joined the pursuit after Rosenbaum’s death. A third individual, Gaige Grosskreutz, sustained injuries.
Despite his acquittal, Rittenhouse has publicly acknowledged the lasting trauma from the events in Kenosha. In an interview two years after the verdict, he revealed he continues to suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He expressed frustration with a journalist’s question about his feelings regarding the deaths, calling it “inappropriate.”
