RK Selvamani re-elected as Director of Cinema Directors Association

Elections to the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association are held every 2 years. Following the expiration of the tenure of the present Chairman RK Selvamani, an election was held yesterday at Thai Satya School in KK Nagar, Chennai to elect new executives. Attorney Senthilnathan conducted the election from the post of Returning Officer. Bhagyaraj and RK Selvamani contested for the chairmanship. The two teams competed for the posts of Secretary, Treasurer, 2 Vice-Chairmen, 4 Joint Secretaries and 12 Executive Committee members. The recording started in the morning and ended in the evening. Then the votes were counted. In this AK Selvamani got 955 votes and again won as the President of Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association. Bhagyaraj, who contested against him, got 566 votes.
