The sector is seriously shaken. In addition to the expressions of condolence, the pressure exerted on many artists is also criticized.

London.

Robbie Williams (50) has called for more compassion for friends and family, but also for strangers, following the death of former One Direction member Liam Payne. You just don’t know what’s going on in other people’s minds, the British pop star wrote on Instagram.

“I still had my demons at 31,” the former Take That singer remarked, referring to Payne’s age. Williams also suddenly became world famous as a member of a boy band when he was a teenager.

“As individuals, however, we have the power to change ourselves. We can be kinder. We can be more empathetic,” Williams wrote (“Let Me Entertain You”). “We can at least try to be more compassionate towards ourselves, our family, our friends, strangers in life, and strangers on the Internet.”

British singer Oritsé Williams, who rose to fame with boy band JLS in the late 2000s, has called on the BBC for greater due diligence from the music industry. You need thick skin when you’re in the spotlight. He had problems too. “And I feel like it’s the same with Liam. He had a wonderful family, obviously, but you’re alone out there in this crazy world where there’s a lot of vultures.”

Pop star Ed Sheeran urged his fans to “be kind” in an Instagram post. He has fond memories of Payne, whose death is heartbreaking.

Payne’s former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan was shocked. Payne had traveled to Buenos Aires for a Horan concert. “Unfortunately, when we said goodbye and hugged I didn’t know it would be goodbye forever,” Horan wrote on Instagram. (dpa)
