A concessionaire Rodovias do Tietê expects 325 thousand vehicles to pass through the highways that form the Eastern Corridor of the Marechal Rondon highway during the Special New Year Operation, which takes place between Friday (29/12) and Monday (01/01 ). The biggest movement is expected for Friday (29), between 4pm and 9pm; on Saturday (30), between 7am and 11am; and on Monday (1st), from 4pm to 8pm.
The Marechal Rondon highway (SP-300) is expected to concentrate the largest traffic, with 218 thousand vehicles passing through. The Mário Dedini highway (SP-308), also known as the Sugar highway, is expected to pass 66 thousand vehicles. Campinas-Monte Mor, Jornalista Francisco Aguirre Proença highway (SP-101), should receive 41 thousand vehicles.
All movements will be monitored 24 hours a day by cameras at the Concessionaire’s Operational Control Center (CCO). Winches and ambulances will be positioned at strategic points to ensure agility in cases of medical and mechanical assistance.
