India captain Rohit Sharma has said that Virat Kohli’s century against South Africa in 2013 was his favorite.
The Sri Lankan team, which has toured India, is playing 2 Tests and 3 T20s. India won the T20 series 3-0. The Test series starts tomorrow at the Mohali ground.
Virat Kohli will play his 100th Test tomorrow. Many Indian cricket celebrities have congratulated Kohli for this.
Commenting on Virat Kohli’s 100th Test and his best Test century, India captain Rohit Sharma said:
The Indian team led by Virat Kohli won the Test series in Australia in 2018 unforgettable. I think Virat Kohli’s best Test innings was the century he scored against Johannesburg against South Africa. That pitch was very challenging. There was a lot of bounce.
Many in South Africa are just then playing for the first time. Going there and playing against the best bowlers like Dale Steyn, Marne Markle, Flanders, Kallis is not so easy. Goalie scored a century in the first inning. He was dismissed for 96 in the 2nd inning. That’s his best Test innings as far as I know. In 2018 he played brilliantly in Perth and scored a century. But he said the century he scored in South Africa was the best.
