On December 25, NASA announced the successful launch of the Ariane 5 launch vehicle with James Webb. The launch took place at 15:21 Moscow time from the cosmodrome in French Guiana.
James Webb is the most powerful infrared telescope ever created. Strugovets noted that 2021 was a decisive year for many projects that could not be launched in recent years.
