Over the past 1.5 years, there has not been a single successful cyber attack on the Gosuslugi portal. Igor Lyapunov, General Director of RTK-Solar Group of Companies and Vice President of Rostelecom, spoke about this.
According to him, in the first months of the special operation in Ukraine, hacker resources for attacks on Russian territory were sold on exchanges on the darknet. He noted that “Gosuslugi” is a “colossal magnet” for hackers.
“Over these 1.5 years, there has not been a single successful cyber attack and stoppage of our public services,” emphasized Lyapunov during the Russia-Africa summit (TASS quote).
On June 17, Lyapunov said that at the peak of hacker attacks on infrastructure PMEFa reached 50,000 events per second, the attacks were also aimed at the Gosuslug infrastructure.
The volume of cyber attacks on Russia is not decreasing, Lyapunov reported in May at a round table in the Federation Council. He noted that DDoS attacks do not achieve an effect, despite their number. Compared to last year, Russia manages to deal with them more effectively.
In July, Secretary of the Security Council Mykola Patrushev blamed the US cyberattacks, which are overseen by the Ukrainian Center for Information and Psychological Operations (CIPSO). In his opinion, American intelligence agencies are directing cyberattacks “under the Ukrainian flag” on Russian infrastructure.
