Founded on November 25, 1928 and admitted to Rotay International on January 16, 1929, the Charter was signed in the Santaneco Club Rooms, which we know today as Casino Santaneco, with 28 prominent men of the time, being the second Organized Club in El Salvador and the first in Santa Ana, with a host of objectives of love for one’s neighbor.

The founding members of the Club were: Jorge Valdés, Miguel Rivera, Francisco A. Reyes, Carlos Menéndez Castro, Gustavo E. Álvarez, J. Antonio Fernández, Arduino Tirello, Jorge Álvarez A., Manuel Parada, Ángel Maria Ayala, Bernardo Medina, Robustiano Camino, Salvador Calderón, Porfirio D. Giammattei, Guillermo MC. Entee, Pedro Valerio Vides, Alberto Valdés, Luis Medina, Manuel Avilés, Secundino Turcios, Pablo Rivera, Antonio Reyes, Gustavo Vides Jr., Antonio Verdugo, Pedro Geoffroy, Porfirio Mendoza, Manuel Bolaños, Isidoro Nieto Mejía, Carlos Valdés, Samuel Álvarez Ángel , José Luis Méndez, Roberto Trujillo Ortiz, F. Alberto Pacas and Juan P. Camino.

And to celebrate the 95 years of its foundation in a big way, the Rotary Club of Santa Ana will host the XXXII National Rotary Convention on November 12, 13 and 14, 2024, where Rotarians from all over El Salvador and Panama, Mexico, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, we will have the presence of the Governor of District 4240 Enrique Zamora.
We are filled with enthusiasm when we think that Rotary is and should be a forge of visionary and honest ideas, far from envy and selfishness, so that with hammer and anvil they become new, generous and useful creations.

That is why in many clubs the abundance of works stands out with particularities. The most valuable thing is that his philosophy is not broken… that philosophy of life that takes on its own the action of reconciling the constant
conflict between the desire to benefit oneself and the duty, and consequent impulse, to serve others.
