The battle in the East Kalimantan gubernatorial election is one of the strategic regional elections in Indonesia in 2024.

The reason is, this provincial area will become the center of Indonesian government when the nation’s capital officially moves from Jakarta to the Indonesian Capital City (IKN).

Regarding this, the Indonesian Survey Panel (PSI) conducted a survey of candidates for governor and deputy governor in the East Kalimantan gubernatorial election.

PSI Executive Director Mahendra Zaini conveyed the results of a survey of the electoral strength of the two gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate pairs, finding that Rudi Mas’ud-Seno Aji are predicted to win by a landslide over their incumbent opponents Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi if the election were held now.

“The results of the survey with open questions show that people who give their choices are… Top of Mind on the Rudi Mas’ud-Seno Aji pair as much as 51.6 percent. Then as much as 30.1 percent gave to the incumbent pair Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi, and those who did not give a choice as much as 18.3 percent,” said Mahendra in his statement, Thursday (12/9).

Meanwhile, the results of the survey with open questions show that people give their choices freely. Top of Mind for Rudi Mas’ud-Seno Aji as much as 51.6 percent.

Then, 30.1 percent gave their choice to Isran Noor-Hadi Mulyadi, and 18.3 percent did not give their choice.
