With the World Cup page definitively turned and the internationals having returned to action, French clubs are ready to attack the European Rugby Cup. Eight of them are also entered in the Champions Cup this weekend, for the first day against the British elite.

Title holders, Stade Rochelais will obviously be there, as will Racing 92, current leader of the Top 14.

The Bordeaux-Bègles Union will have the honor of opening the ball, from Friday, with a tricky trip to Ireland, Connacht (9 p.m.). But the program will be busier on Saturday, with the reception of Exeter by RC Toulon (2 p.m.), then that of Cardiff by Stade Toulousain (4:15 p.m.), reigning French champions. The day will then continue with two trips: that of Aviron Bayonnais on the lawn of Munster (6:30 p.m.), winner of the last United Rugby Championship, then that of LOU in Bristol (9 p.m.).

On Sunday, it will be the turn of the Parisian clubs to join the dance. At the start of the afternoon (2 p.m.), Stade Français will play Sale for its return to the Champions Cup. Later in the day (6:30 p.m.), Racing 92, crowned with its status as first in class in the championship, will host Londoners Harlequins. In the meantime, La Rochelle will host Leinster, in a highly anticipated remake of the 2023 final.
