Russia launched a war against Ukraine last February after it attempted to join NATO. Although the United States has not been on the ground in support of Ukraine, it has been providing Ukraine with substantial arms support.
In this case, Russia has accused Ukraine of making nuclear weapons.
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who spoke with the defense ministers of Britain, France and Turkey last weekend, accused Ukraine of preparing to attack them with ‘dirty bombs’. He also said that Ukraine plans to take the war to the path of greatest destruction with those weapons made of nuclear materials.
Ukraine denied Russia’s accusation.
In this case, the investigation related to Russia’s accusation was held in Kiev by the UN. The Atomic Energy Commission started yesterday. The investigation is being led by Rafael Croce, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Raffaele Croci said that the investigation will be completed soon.
