Russia and Belarus have banned players from participating in this year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament in protest of the invasion of Ukraine.

The Wimbledon tennis tournament runs from June 27 to July 10. The Tennis Club has announced that Russian and Belarusian players will not be allowed to play in Wimbledon in England.

Belarusian soldiers are also banned from participating in the tournament because of their support for the Russian invasion.

Russia’s Daniel Medvedev, ranked 2nd in the world, and Andrei Rublev, ranked 8th, have been ruled out of Wimbledon.

It is noteworthy that Russia has already been banned from participating in the World Cup.
