Russian forces have again blown up a damthis time in the eastern Donetsk province of Ukraineto hinder the military counteroffensive with which the Ukrainian army tries to recover occupied territories, a Ukrainian military spokesman denounced this Sunday.
“The occupants have blown up a dam on the river of Mokri Yalywhich has caused flooding on both banks of the river,” said the spokesman of the Ukrainian army for the Tavria region, Valery Shershen.
According to the spokesman, the destruction of the dam – which is close to the neighboring Zaporizhia– “does not affect the offensive operations” of Ukraine in the area.
At the moment, no data is known about the ecological and humanitarian consequences.
