In the next 24 hours, 7 planes will be used to rescue Indians stranded in Ukraine. Russia has been attacking Ukraine for the fourth day in a row. Russia-Ukrainian forces clash in Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second largest city. More than 150 Ukrainians have been tragically killed in the war. Similarly, more than 1,000 Ukrainian and Russian soldiers were killed. Due to the aggressive attacks of Russian forces, the Ukrainian people are taking refuge in neighboring countries, including Romania, Hungary and Poland. Thus the public in the border areas of Ukraine is waiting in the bitter cold.
Similarly, foreign embassies are rescuing medical students and travelers from neighboring countries, including India, to Ukraine. In that regard, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs is intensifying its efforts to rescue Indian students stranded in Ukraine. In particular, foreign officials are making all arrangements to repatriate Indian students by air to neighboring Ukraine. In addition, foreign officials, day and night, are working with Indian embassy officials in Ukraine. As a result, about 907 Indians have returned home by four flights.

Accordingly, it has been reported that 4 Air India, one Indigo flight will fly to Bucharest, Romania and one Air India, one Indigo flight will fly to Budapest, Hungary. For India, rescuing its own people trapped in Ukraine has become an immediate challenge. The federal government had announced that about 16,000 Indians, including students, were stranded in Ukraine.
