Shapps wrote these words while rebroadcasting a video of a Ukrainian attack on a Russian amphibious ship in a Black Sea port on Tuesday.
Ukrainian missiles hit the Russian warship “Novocherkassk” while it was in Feodosia in Russian-controlled Crimea. According to TASS state news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the ship was “damaged” that day.
The ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war has resulted in numerous setbacks for the Black Sea Fleet.
Last year, Russian officials said that the flagship of the navy “Moscow” sank after an explosion on board.
Although Russia’s navy is much larger than Ukraine’s, the former’s navy is forced to contend with the latter’s naval drones.
In September, Ukraine launched a missile attack on the Sevastopol shipyard in Russian-controlled Crimea. As a result of the attack on the shipyard, which plays an important role in the service of the Black Sea Fleet, two ships belonging to the Russian Navy were damaged.
