Russian TV reports that World War III began when a Russian warship deployed in the Black Sea to attack Ukraine was destroyed by a Ukrainian missile attack. Russia’s official television channel, which works for the Russian government’s campaigns, described the new situation as World War III.
The channel’s celebrity news anchor Olga Skobayova said that World War III started with the wreckage of their warship. “This is a world war, no doubt about it,” Olga said during the night’s discussion. “We are not fighting NATO, we are fighting for their weapons,” Olga said during the night talks.
One participant in the discussion commented that the attack on the warship was a war on their own soil.
Russia has not officially described the attack on Ukraine as a war. Instead, they describe it as a special military operation. When one of the participants mentioned this, the presenter added that it is the enemies, not us, who are fighting.
The video of the discussion went viral on social media, prompting strong criticism of the presenter.
The Moscow warship, Russia’s flagship, sank yesterday. Ukraine soon claimed that the huge submarine had crashed as a result of its missile attack. Russia has confirmed that the ship exploded and caught fire. A Russian defense spokesman confirmed that the ship suddenly caught fire and spread to the arsenal. Russia has said it has evacuated 510 people, including soldiers aboard the ship. Russia declined to say what caused the fire.
However, Ukraine claimed that the ship was attacked and destroyed by Neptune missiles. The Odessa governor claimed that the ship had exploded and sank in the attack. The ship was used by Russia to attack Ukrainian troops on Snook Island during the first phase of the Ukrainian War.
At 611 feet long, the Moscow warship was also a symbol of Soviet times, carrying missiles and warplanes. The main arsenal is the P1000 anti-ship missiles on a warship built in the Soviet Union in 1980.
