Last night, a bomb fell by mistake on the Russian city of Belgorod. The projectile detached from an Su-34 military plane and caused a crater 20 by 5 meters in diameter. It caused damage to roads, cars and power line poles. It fell a few dozen meters from a block of flats, which had to be evacuated.
As a result of the explosion, three people were injured and one had to be hospitalized. The power of the shock wave hurled a vehicle onto the roof of a nearby building.
Belgorod lies 30 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and at first what happened was attributed to a Ukrainian attack. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry had to admit that it was due to a mistake and that the explosion was caused by a shell from a Kremlin fighter plane.
