Russia has decided to withdraw from the International Space Station after 2024, the country’s space research center Roscosmos has announced.
The decision comes as the West imposes economic sanctions on Russia over its war with Ukraine. Roscosmos head Yuri Borisov is said to have told President Putin that he will fulfill his obligations to the allied countries properly.
The United States, Russia, Japan, Canada, and European countries are currently contributing to the International Space Station.
