United Nations: Russia vetoes UN Security Council resolution condemning Ukraine’s occupation The resolution strongly condemned the attacks in Ukraine and called for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops.

The resolution, tabled by the US and Albania, was voted on by 11 countries on a 15-member panel. India, China and the UAE abstained.

The resolution was not passed after Russia vetoed it as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.
