The championship represents the culmination of an unprecedented qualifying process. For the first time,tournaments were held in all 89 regions of Russia,attracting over 1.3 thousand teams and more than 26,000 players.This widespread participation highlights the RFU’s commitment to developing football at all levels and expanding access to competitive opportunities. Fifteen teams from the SFF “Center” regions will be competing for the title. representing the Ryazan region are “Hermes,” “Madison,” and “Oka Moloko.” BRO “Dynamo” will fly the flag for the Bryansk region,while the Belgorod region sends “Premix Plant No. 1” and “Stroygarant.” From the Voronezh region, “Lada” and “Perfograd” will participate, alongside “Tekhnika” 68 – Tatanovo from the Tambov region, “Kikvidze” (Volgograd region), “SpetsKhimAgro” (Oryol region), “Express Office” (Tula region), “TK Avangard” (Smolensk region), “Fakel-Gazprom” (Kursk region), and KIIK (Kaluga region).

“The Russian 8×8 Championship is a key tournament in adult grassroots football, the final of which always becomes the most anticipated event of the year for teams and organizers,” stated a senior official from the RFU. “We see great interest from the regions in this tournament – this year selections were held in each of them. we note the growth in the level of the teams that will take part in the final and are now actively preparing for it.” The matches will be played on the well-maintained fields of the “Territory of Sports” complex, familiar to competitors from last year’s championship. Additionally, an educational seminar will be held at the 2018 World Cup “Fisht” stadium.
Educational Seminar for Amateur League Leaders
Complementing the on-field competition, the RFU Academy will host an in-person educational seminar for leaders of amateur leagues from November 3rd to 5th. The seminar will cover a wide range of topics, including the structure of RFU futsal competitions – encompassing futsal and women’s football – digital services for grassroots football, guidelines for developing amateur leagues, and best practices for broadcasting amateur matches. “
