He added: “Our strategic partnership is based on the principles of dialogue based on respect, equality, trust and mutual support on issues related to the basic interests of our two countries, and this cooperation goes beyond, as our leaders have emphasized more than once, military and political alliances dating back to the Cold War era, and is not directed against any party.” third”.

Lavrov pointed out, “Coordination in international affairs allows Russia and China to effectively solve common problems at both the internal and external levels.”

For his part, the Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that “his country intends to support stable development in Russia under the leadership of its President Vladimir Putin.”

He added: “As a friendly neighbor of Russia and a comprehensive strategic partner, we will resolutely support stable development and renaissance in Russia under the leadership of President Putin.”

Wang stressed that “Moscow and Beijing will continue to strengthen strategic cooperation on the global arena,” noting that “within the framework of Russia’s presidency of the BRICS group and the Chinese side’s presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, starting from the second half of this year, we will provide strong support to each other and strengthen our multilateral cooperation.” .

Lavrov arrived in Beijing yesterday, Monday, for a two-day official visit.
