The war in Ukraine is not going well for Vladimir Putin, his troops are being pushed back in the east and south. In order to change that, the Russian president says he has drafted around 300,000 reservists and sent them to the front.
This causes protests, because the families worry about their loved ones. They also lack the income of the reservists from their regular job. Compensation payments are reportedly pending. The mayor of the city of Yakutsk now has a bizarre offer for this.
