The Russian military satellite Cosmos-2560 has been successfully launched into orbit, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Earlier it was reported that the Angara-1.2 light rocket was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. The launch of the rocket with the satellite was carried out on Saturday at 22:55 Moscow time in the normal mode.

Angara is the first unique rocket built in Russia after the collapse of the USSR. It is not a refinement or processing of Soviet counterparts. It was first tested in 2014. It took 9 years from development to launch.
