Russian President Putin visits Turkey to inaugurate a new nuclear power plant

Russia’s state nuclear company Rosatom has built a new nuclear power plant in Turkey. Russian President Vladimir Putin may visit Turkey on April 27 for the inauguration of Turkey’s first nuclear power plant, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said.

There is a possibility that Putin will arrive on April 27. He also said that if he is unable to attend, he will join the function through video.

The Kremlin has denied Turkish reports that Putin is planning a visit to Turkey.

The Kremlin said Putin and Erdogan discussed during the phone call the successful implementation of joint strategic projects in the energy sector, including the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.
