On the streets of Moscow, robots that perform the work of people are being tested; the first in Russia in the capital, accompanied by an operator, was the Pixel robot cleaner. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Before that, in March, a security robot was tested, and in the capital you can also try pancakes from the Blindozer vending machine, which bakes them itself.
“Pixel” was developed by the Moscow company “Avtonomika” together with Belarusian partners. “The cleaning robot can do wet cleaning and sweep sidewalks for 16 hours. It has replaceable attachments – this allows you to use the robot all year round,” Mr. Sobyanin said.
The security robot was created by the Gumich company; it passed pilot testing in the Nagatino technopark. “He can patrol different objects along a given route and transmit images to the control point, signaling violations,” says the mayor of the capital.
Blindozer, the world’s first vending machine that bakes pancakes in front of the consumer, won the Moscow Innovator competition in 2021. “Blindozer” itself controls the expiration dates of all ingredients, Sergei Sobyanin notes.
In total, 112 innovative companies and startups in the field of robotics operate in the capital.
