Berlin – Corona has damaged the aviation industry. In order for traffic to grow again, the airport companies have to lower their fees – also in Berlin. The airline Ryanair has spoken out in favor of this. “As far as the schedule of charges at BER is concerned, we definitely still see room for maneuver at Ryanair,” said Andreas Gruber, Germany boss of the Irish airline, of the Berliner Zeitung. “Even at BER we are not yet where we want to be. In Berlin, too, far too little is being done to help air traffic out of the crisis and provide incentives for growth.” In the meantime, a change is pending at the capital’s airport in Schönefeld. Ryanair will move to the new Terminal 2 at the end of March. The Irish airline, which advertises low fares, will be the sole occupant of the terminal.
