Title: Sreesanth Congratulates Sanju Samson on Maiden ODI Century, Suggests Captaincy Change

Former Indian pacer S Sreesanth has congratulated Indian player Sanju Samson for his match-winning century in the third ODI against South Africa. Samson’s maiden international century helped Team India secure a 78-run victory and win the ODI series 2-1.

Sreesanth, who has played a crucial role in Samson’s career, including their time together in the Kerala cricket team and the IPL, expressed his delight at Samson’s achievement. “Sanju Samson scored a well-deserved century for Team India in South Africa. I wish him to score many more centuries in the future,” said Sreesanth.

With his century, Samson also became the first Kerala player to complete a century in international cricket. He led Team India’s top score, scoring 108 runs from 114 balls at a strike rate of 94.74, including six fours and three sixes.

Pacer Arshdeep Singh also shone in the Indian line-up, taking four wickets and giving away only 30 runs in nine overs.

In a recent development, Sreesanth suggested a change in captaincy for the Rajasthan Royals, proposing that Jos Buttler be made captain instead of Samson. Sreesanth emphasized the need for a consistent captain in big tournaments like the IPL, citing Samson’s mixed record as the captain of the Royals.

Samson took over the captaincy of the Rajasthan Royals in 2021, leading the team in 45 matches, resulting in 22 wins and 23 losses. Under his captaincy, the Royals played the final in 2022 but lost the title to the Gujarat Titans.

As Samson continues to shine on the field, Sreesanth’s support and guidance will undoubtedly prove valuable for the rising star from Kerala.
