Police in South Australia are expressing “grave concerns” for the welfare of Trisha Graf, 41, who has been missing for 16 days. Renewed search efforts are underway near where her vehicle was discovered abandoned in a remote area of the outback.
South Australian authorities launched an extensive search operation after Graf was last seen in the early hours of Friday, December 12, in the Roxby Downs area, approximately 510 kilometers north of Adelaide.
Vehicle Found Abandoned, Search Expanded
Graf, a resident of Andamooka, was driving a white 2012 Ford Territory with South Australian registration S254BCX. The vehicle was found abandoned and inoperable near Blue Dam, east of Andamooka, on December 13. Initial search efforts, which included aerial surveillance, ground teams, and specialist dive teams, yielded no results.
On Monday, police initiated a further aerial search, concentrating on the area between Blue Dam and Andamooka, a distance of 32 kilometers from Roxby Downs. This expanded search builds upon the comprehensive ground searches already completed.
“We are deeply concerned for Ms. Graf’s safety given the length of time she has been missing and the challenging conditions of the outback,” a senior official stated.
Public Appeal for Information
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Graf’s whereabouts or her movements leading up to her disappearance to come forward. Individuals can contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or submit information online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
The search for Trisha Graf continues as authorities work to uncover any clues that may lead to her safe return.
