Sabarimala Iyappan Temple opens today for Mandala Puja and Capricorn Lantern Worship.
The Sabarimala Temple Walk opens on the first day of the month of Karthika, as usual, and opens at 5 pm today. Two newly elected superintendents will take office. Regular pujas will be held from tomorrow. As Ayyappa devotees continue to visit the Irumudi Katti temple, 30,000 devotees will be allowed to visit the temple daily through online access.
Kerala Chief Minister Binarayi Vijayan has said that the registration facility will be suspended for 3 days due to the heavy rain warning. Devotees are not allowed to swim in the Pompeii River due to prolonged floods. Mandala Puja will be held at Iyappan Temple till December 26 and Capricorn Lantern Puja will be held on January 14.
