Sabarimala, Kerala – In a joyous occasion for devotees, the Sabarimala temple walk was officially opened yesterday evening for the Aipasi month puja. The revered Brahmashree Mahesh, a spiritual leader known for his deep devotion, had the honor of opening the upper peace and lighting the lamp. Devotees were then granted the opportunity to have darshan and seek blessings.

Although no other special pujas were performed on the first day, the atmosphere was filled with immense reverence and devotion. The walk was temporarily closed at 10:00 PM, allowing devotees to rest and prepare for the upcoming rituals.

In the early hours of the following day, at 5:00 AM, the much-awaited Nirmalya darshan took place. Tantri Kandararu Mahesh Mohanararu performed the Neyyabhishekam after abishekam, marking the start of a day filled with regular pujas. One of the highlights included the Ganapati Homam, a sacred ritual dedicated to Lord Ganesha.

As the day progressed, the Usha Puja was conducted at 7:30 AM, bringing tranquility and auspiciousness to the temple premises. Following this, the highly anticipated Mel Shanthi exam took place. Numerous aspirants vied for the esteemed role, which holds great responsibility and reverence.

After careful consideration, Brahmashree Mahesh was chosen as the new Melasanthi, the head of the Sabarimala temple. His deep spiritual understanding and dedication to the divine path have earned him this prestigious position. Additionally, Brahmashree Murali Namboothiri was appointed as the head of the house, adding further significance to the temple’s administration.

The Aipasi month pujas will continue until the 22nd. Regular rituals such as Usha Puja, Uchha Puja, Kalapabhishekam, Deeparathan, Attaja Puja, and Padi Puja will be held at 7:00 PM every day, offering devotees the opportunity to engage in divine worship. Furthermore, the Udayastamana Puja, lasting from dawn to dusk, will be conducted throughout the month.

On the 22nd of Aipasi month, the walk will be closed once again at 10:00 PM, concluding the month-long period of special pujas and festivities. Devotees from across the country and beyond continue to throng to the Sabarimala temple, eagerly seeking the blessings of Lord Ayyappa.

The Sabarimala temple, nestled amidst lush forests and serene surroundings, holds a special place in the hearts of millions of devotees.
