Legendary Rabindra composer Sadi Mohammed has passed away. He was buried at Mohammadpur Jame Masjid graveyard in Bad Johar capital on Thursday (March 14).

The famous artist died yesterday evening. His hanging body was recovered from a room of the house. He was 69 years old. According to the police, this artist has chosen the path of suicide.

A graduate and post-graduate in Rabindra Sangeet from Visva Bharati, Sadi Mohammed was an artist, teacher and composer in one. He made his debut as a composer in the year 2007 with the album ‘Amake sikpabe Bhorer Shisire’.

In 2009 his album ‘Shravan Aakashe’ and in 2012 his album ‘Sarthak Janam Amar’ were released. Sadi has played playback in numerous movies and dramas. Till his death he was the director of cultural organization Ravirag.

In 2012, Channel I gave lifetime honor to Saadi Mohammed. In 2015, Bangla Academy awarded him the Rabindra Award.

Rabindra Sangeet artist Sadi Mohammad and dancer Shibli Mohammad, sons of Shahid Salim Ullah, are very well-known faces in the cultural arena of Bangladesh.
