Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Liverpool star, achieved a new record in the Premier League, after scoring against Brentford, in a (2-0) victory in the second round of the competition.

According to the Squawka statistics network, Salah has now become the player with the most goals against Brentford in the Premier League (7 goals).
Salah outperformed English international James Maddison, the current Tottenham and former Leicester City star, whose contributions against Brentford stopped at 6 goals.
The network added that Salah directly contributed to 128 goals in 128 Premier League matches at Anfield for Liverpool, scoring 93 goals and providing 35 assists.
No other player has contributed to more than 100 home goals in the Premier League since Salah joined the Reds in 2017.
