Sales of used passenger cars increased by a quarter over three quarters

In January – September 2023, 4.33 million used passenger cars were sold in Russia, according to Avtostat data. This is a 24% increase compared to the same period last year.

All 10 top-selling brands showed growth, and most of them showed double-digit growth. Over three quarters, 931,548 used Lada cars were purchased in Russia (growth year-on-year – 9%), 517,629 Toyota cars (+35%), 245,277 Kia (+32%), 242,140 Hyundai (+25.5%) and 228,825 Nissan vehicles (+26.5%). Next in popularity are used Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda and Renault.
