At the CUBO Zacamil, Mejicanos, the results of a survey carried out on the Urban Centers for Wellbeing and Opportunities (CUBO) were presented. This study was funded by USAID and validated by UNDP.

During the presentation, it was highlighted that the community perceives the CUBOs as safe places that promote recreational and educational activities. The results confirm the positive impact on the perception of security, a result of the policies implemented in phase 2 of the Territorial Control Plan by President Nayib Bukele.

The presentation was given by the director of Social Fabric Reconstruction, Carlos Marroquín in the company of the CUBO coordinator, Abraham Riviera and was attended by representatives of various government institutions, as well as the community in general.

In addition, it was highlighted that users make frequent use of the facilities, registering more than 596,000 visits to date.

This event represents a significant step in the consolidation of CUBOs as key spaces for community development and improving the quality of life of Salvadorans.
